Crettyard/Spink 1-07
Portarlington 3-08
Portarlington U13 footballers made the long trip to Crettyard GAA on Friday evening. The Port captain won the toss, and had the aid of a stiff breeze in the first half. Portarlington took advantage of it and went in at half time, leading
1- 05 to 0-02 points, with our Keeper pulling of great saves in the first half.
Port came out in the second half determined as ever to keep onto their lead and put up another
2 -03 onto the scoreboard.
Port could have added a lot more scores with better recycling of the ball and decision making during the game.
Ports Keeper and defence were excellent in holding off a strong attack from the opposition especially in the final 10 minutes, making it really difficult for them to score.
Overall, this was a great victory away from home with Portarlington winning 3 -08 to Crettyard Spink 1 -07.
