On a sunny evening in McCann Park, Portarlington hosted Mountmellick Parish Gaels in an exciting U15 Division 1 match.

First Half:
Despite playing against the breeze, Portarlington managed to score 8 points but missed several opportunities. Mountmellick PG capitalized on Portarlington's mistakes with two quick goals, giving them a 3-point lead at halftime.

Second Half:
Portarlington came alive after the break. They dominated possession, showed physicality, and contested kickouts effectively. Key performances came from the midfielders and center forward, contributing critical points. The turning point came with two quick goals by the full forward, resulting from seamless team play from defense to attack.

Defensive and Midfield Excellence:
Portarlington's defense was resolute, limiting Mountmellick to just 2 points in the second half. The midfielders worked tirelessly, scoring and setting up chances for the forward line.
