Portarlington 0-09 - 0-11 Ballyroan Abbey

Ballyroan Abbey were in town last night for round 6 of the ACFL Division 1A league.

In what was a tough first half, the deadlock was eventually broken by the visitors in the 22nd minute and they led by 5 points to nil at half time.

The Ballyroan scoring continued at the start of the second half and they led by 9 points until Port staged an ambitious comeback which saw them come within 2 points of levelling the game.

Unfortunately a draw was not to be as the visitors dug deep to repel a determined Port side in front of our largest crowd of the year to date.

We travel to our fellow Barrowsiders Griaguecullen next Friday night (13th May) for round 7.
