Our u13 hurlers today travelled to Faughs GAA for their first friendly match of the season.
With a panel of 21 players the boys really got stuck in and won on a score line of 7-8 to 0-1.
Our goalkeeper Ben Petriw was very strong in goals with great accuracy on puck outs.
The full back line of Sam Petriw, Patrick Emerson and Maitiu Hopkins were rock solid, with the half back line Adam Yarrow, Noah McCluskey and Tommy Walker.
In the Middle of the field we had Sean Connolly Horan and Nathan Hayes who won a lot of possession.
Half forward line linked up excellent with some great scores and assists from Luke Dunne, Ryan Murphy and Aaron Walsh.
Our full forward line got in on the action too with some very good scores, Rory O Dwyer, Callum Walsh and Liam Mullen.
Of course every team is not just made up of 15 players, we had the luxury of bringing on 6 subs where they all had an impact on the game. Ryan Judge, Cian Whelan, Dylan Loftus, Sam Lyons, Tom Maher and James Brady.
This was a very impressive performance from our boys and hopefully they can have a successful 2023.
Scores on the day.
Ryan Murphy 5-4
Callum Walsh 1-2
Sean Connolly Horan 0-1
Rory O Dwyer 1-0
