Our U13 footballers played Portlaoise in the first round of the development championship.

Portlaoise started much stronger and they had the Port boys under pressure in the first half with the aid of a slight breeze.

Portarlington went in at half time 8 points down.

Ben Petriw made some excellent saves in the Port goals.

Portarlington showed tremendous grit in the second half and they took the score to two points with the clock running down.

Portarlington continued to pressure the opponents defence and were rewarded by a well taken goal in the dying seconds by Aaron Walsh.
