Portarlington U15 Hurling team played St Paul's in McCann Park on Wednesday evening. The first half was an evenly matched contest with both sides exchanging some lovely scores. Just before half time Portarlington lost 2 players to injury and St Paul's took a 4 point advantage going in at the break leading 2 08 to 1 07.
St Paul's came out of the traps better in the second half with 5 quick goals, putting Portarlington defence under pressure, however Portarlington added a few more scores on the board but it wasn't going to be enough to get back into the game. St Paul's 8.14 Portarlington 4.12
Overall this was a good performance from the guys as it was their first league game and they were very much in it up to half time taking some excellent scores.
